Jonathan Cheong
Head Producer, Action Director, Action Choreographer, Actor
Jonathan Cheong is a Singaporean Actor, Director, Producer, and Action Choreographer who has starred in and produced 10 action films to date, with half of his films screened in prestigious film festivals around the world, such as Las Vegas, New York, London, Tokyo, Seville, and Toledo.
He first stepped foot in the industry in 2016 when he was 18 by starting his company, Raging Fire Productions, with one goal in mind — become an established action actor akin to his inspiration and role model, Donnie Yen. Besides being a huge martial arts film fan, which had heavily contributed to Cheong’s unique career choice, he found the lack in this genre in the local Singapore film scene. In the case where no authentic modern action films had been made by locals for the past 59 years in Singapore.
With a burning love and desire to change the situation, he began producing his own actioners with the mission to make it worthy enough to be on par with the international film making stage! And contribute to Singapore’s local film scene.
Cheong had also partaken in action projects in Malaysia, the United Kingdom, and South Korea, with one project soon to be released on Netflix. Jonathan seeks to represent the Singapore action cinema in his own rights by continuing to produce more and eventually collaborate with international filmmakers around the globe.
